Spend the holiday break making art with a new theme every day at the Katonah Museum of Art.
Tuesday, February 17, Zodiac Animal Sculptures: Squish, roll, and sculpt with air-dry clay to create an animal from the Chinese zodiac based on the year you were born! Add personality with googly eyes, hair, feathers, and other fun materials.
Wednesday, February 18, Year of the Horse Prints: Giddy up! Design and print bold horse artworks inspired by 2026, the Year of the Horse. Experiment with shapes, textures, and printmaking techniques.
Thursday, February 19, Make It Red!: Red is a symbol of luck and celebration in Chinese culture. Create an abstract collage using shades of red as you layer shapes and patterns into a unique artwork.
Friday, February 20, Chinese Zodiac Comic Books: Bring the Chinese Zodiac to life! Use a variety of drawing materials to illustrate an epic comic strip starring the Zodiac animals.
Workshops at 10am, 11:30am, and 1pm. Ages 3-8 with an adult; ages 9 and up can be dropped off.
Space is limited. Registration is strongly recommended.
