MLK Day Window Sign Making Workshop and Food Drive
This free gathering offers the opportunity and materials to design a sign to be placed in your window, spreading MLK’s messages of peace and social justice. Draw, collage, color, and gather inspiration from iconic Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. quotes.
Facilitated by ACP board members Aaron Fisher and Gregory Smith, participants begin with a provided template featuring an image and a quote of MLK, or you can start from scratch to create your own design.
Participants spend ten minutes creating freely on a sheet of paper, allowing themselves to express their feelings without the constraints of perfection, rules, or judgment. Afterward, they are challenged to tear up their paper and use the pieces to create a new collage that represents a different perspective.
Bring pantry-stable goods for the MLK Day Food Drive. Goods will be made available in the Free Pantry outside ACP’s Paul Robeson for the Arts.
