Sponsored by the Bob Ross Foundation, the GLBT Museum in San Francisco offers free admission to all visitors on the first Wednesday of every month. The museum is on a first-come, first-served basis. 

While the museum is intended for adult audiences, there are many artifacts and exhibits that are suitable for kids.
