Big Feelings Weekends at the Cayton

The Cayton Children’s Museum is launching a new monthly program and we have some Big Feelings about that...
Starting in January, the Cayton presents Big Feelings Weekends, a new year-long series of monthly programs designed to help young children explore emotions through hands-on, play-based STEAM experiences. The series centers on shared emotional themes such as hope, bravery, kindness, curiosity, and pride, using intentional play to support social and emotional development.
The series kicks off over Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend, with the theme Hope & Possibility.
Families encounter activity stations throughout the museum, including Future City Builders, where children and adults collaboratively design a shared city of the future, and “I Wish” - Tapestry of Possibility, a participatory art installation where families add their responses to the prompt “I wish…” to a collaborative tapestry.
