Chinese Theatre Works visits the Long Island Children's Museum with its annual Lunar New Year celebration, featuring an original “budaixi” glove puppet production inspired by the twelve animals of the Chinese Zodiac.

This year’s lively show stars the Horse, leading a joyful mix of puppet skits, dances, popular songs, and well-known Chinese sayings - a phrase commonly meaning “Great!” or “Well done!”

After the performance, families are invited to a hands-on, bilingual post-show demonstration, making this cultural experience engaging and accessible for even the youngest audience members. A fun and meaningful way to celebrate the Lunar New Year together.
