8/1/12 - By Kate Andrews

Get ready to soak up some classic Cape Cod charm, because Woods Hole and Falmouth, MA are calling! These two delightful towns offer a perfect blend of salty air, sandy toes, and engaging activities that go way beyond your typical beach day. We've rounded up over 30 ways to make unforgettable memories with your crew, from scientific explorations to sweet treats and outdoor thrills.

OUR LATEST VIDEOS

Top Things To Do in Woods Hole

This quaint village is small but mighty, especially for curious young minds.

1. Dive into Ocean Wonders at Woods Hole Science Aquarium

It's the nation's oldest marine aquarium, and bonus—admission is free! Don't miss the lively seal feedings and get hands-on with local sea creatures in the touch tank.

2. Gaze from Nobska Light

A picturesque, historic lighthouse offering stunning panoramic views of Buzzards Bay and Vineyard Sound. Afterward, cool off with a splash at Nobska Beach nearby.

3. Sweet & Savory at Pie in the Sky

This charming spot is a must-visit for incredible pies, fresh-baked pastries, and delicious coffee. Start your day the right way (with a popover, perhaps?).

7. Witness the Working Drawbridge

It's surprisingly captivating to watch the drawbridge lift and lower as boats pass in and out of the harbor. A simple pleasure that fascinates all ages!

This calm, rock-free beach is ideal for little ones. The gentle waves and soft sand make it perfect for splashing and searching for hermit crabs.

13. Playtime at Woods Hole Waterfront Park

After all the learning, let the kids run free and burn off some energy here. It’s also a great spot to watch the boats coming and going.

14. Celebrate the Fourth of July Parade

If you're visiting around Independence Day, the Marine Biological Laboratory's Fourth of July Parade is a charming, small-town experience ending with free watermelon.
