Western Massachusetts hosts one of the nation's larget St. Patrick's Day Parades in the city of Holyoke.

Nearly three miles long, the parade route features roughly 20,000 participants and almost half a million spectators. Holyoke hosts a road race on March 19th, which is preceeded by free fun runs at 11:00 for kids aged 2-10. The parade starts at the K-Mart shopping plaza Parking is available on side streets along the parade route and in the municipal lots around City Hall.
