Who needs snow?  In Hermosa Beach, families can make their snowmen out of sand. 

This is a free, all ages, event open to the entire community. Registration begins at 9am; judging starts around 11:15am.

Families are encouraged to bring their own tools and decorations to create their "Sand Snowman."

Prizes are awarded for the winners of the varying categories.
