Sensory-Friendly Saturday
Visit Brandywine River Museum and explore a variety of creative activities during this accessible program designed for visitors on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing disorder and their families.
Created in conjunction with occupational therapists and local families, this inclusive program strives to provide a welcoming experience through offering many opportunities such as early access to the museum, pre-visit social stories, gallery activities to meet a variety of sensory needs, hands-on art activities for all developmental levels, sensory break areas, on-hand support of professional and student occupational therapists and friendly volunteers, and fidgets and noise-cancelling headphones to borrow. Siblings are welcome to attend.
This event is free; however, space is limited. Registration is requested.
