Guests to Norristown Farm Park can examine sugar maple trees, as well as other maple trees, and discover how Native Americans and early settlers retrieved maple sugar from trees. Visitors learn how maple syrup is made from the sap of these special trees.
Participants can taste maple sugar and pure maple syrup to compare with commercial syrups. Afterwards, listen to the Native American legend of how maple sap was discovered. Pre-registration is required so be sure to call and secure a spot.
