Show off your creativity in the LEGO building zones.
Minefaire is all about fun and games—no pun intended. During the two-day extravaganza, kids and adults can compete in gaming tournaments, collaborate to build new worlds at Minefaire’s Lego building zones, solve their way out of a Minecraft escape room, and experience a virtual-reality version of Minecraft world-building.

Dress up as your favorite character and participate in the costume contest.
In addition to Lego building, workshops, tournaments, and VR gaming, fans of the second-best-selling standalone video game of all time can also meet Minecraft YouTube superstars at the event. Official Minecraft mentors and other experts will also be in attendance, meeting with fans at the “learning lab.” And before you head over to the big event, don’t forget to dress up as your favorite Minecraft character to participate in Minefaire’s costume contest.
What to know before you go: NYSCI members and nonmembers must purchase a Minefaire ticket to enter on November 2 and 3. Depending on the type of ticket selected, Minefaire tickets cost between $19.99 and $34.99 (plus fees) and include access to exhibits at the New York Hall of Science (except for the current special exhibit, The Art of the Brick, which is a separate ticket). Tickets are selling out quickly, so hurry and get yours if you’re planning to go.
NYSCI is located in Queens at 47-01 111th street, inside Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
