Join in a S.T.E.A.M Punk party, where science fiction, art, and S.T.E.M. meet. Get into S.T.E.M. and sci-fi inspired activities, explore contemporary art in the Gallery, and try your hand at media experiences. Come in your best steampunk attire, and dance the afternoon away during the family-dance party hosted by Party Like Brooklyn, Baby.

ART ACTIVITIES | 12-3pm | BALLROOM

Punk Patches: Design your own punk-inspired patch with a message or symbol to pin to your favorite shirt, hat or backpack.
Steam Punk Spectacles: Inspired by Steam Punk goggles and Afro-futurist artist Cyrus Kabiru participants will use industrial gears and metal-like materials to create eye-wear sculpture Art that changes how you see.
Wearable L.E.D.s: Inspired by Steampunk medallions, time pieces, jewelry and technology participants will light up their outfit by using industrial-like materials and L.E.D. battery lights to create their own glowing medallions or wrist bands.

RETRO PHOTOGRAPHER | 12-3pm | STUDIO A
Return to analog photography, put your fancy camera away and build your own camera. Construct, design, and decorate a one of a kind pinhole camera that is simple to make and does not need electronics to work.

ZINE STAMPING | 12-3:30pm | SWING SPACE
Inspired by D.I.Y. Zine culture participants will design their own zine using rubber stamping, drawing and textured printmaking techniques.

TIME TRAVELING STOP MOTION ANIMATION | 12-3:30pm | TV STUDIO (1ST FLOOR)
Join in to create your own Steampunk character and/or time traveling vehicle and animate them in background sets that draw inspiration from the past, present, and future.

Party Like Brooklyn, Baby presents an after­noon dance party featuring real music spun and mixed by real DJs blend­ing clas­sic disco tunes from the 70s, & 80s with today’s hottest dance tunes that creates a child-proof dis­co for tod­dlers, pre-schoolers, and par­ents look­ing to let loose.
