9/11 Memorial 5K Run/Walk & Community Day
Sun Apr 28, 2019
10:00am to 2:00pm ET
Age: All
Price: FREE
The seventh annual 9/11 Memorial & Museum 5K Run/Walk and Community Day includes all-ages entertainment (food trucks, music, and kids’ activities). It's free and open to the public.
The 5K begins in lower Manhattan and takes participants through scenic Battery Park City with iconic views of One World Trade and the Statue of Liberty. The 5K Run/Walk finishes adjacent to the Memorial Plaza where Community Day takes place, with family activities until 2pm.
In April 2009, the U.S. Congress designated September 11 as a National Day of Service and Remembrance. Now, every April, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum 5K Run/Walk and Community Day seeks to honor and affirm that spirit.
