Juneteenth at Wave Hill
Celebrate Juneteenth and honor Black history, achievement, and resilience with an evening of performances, artmaking, and more. Picnic on the Great Lawn and enjoy a tasty treat of specialty ice cream while supplies last, courtesy of Only Rare NYC.
Decorate colorful plant pots inspired by stories of hope and liberation. The celebration culminates with engaging musical and dance performances that highlight the Black experience in the United States.
4:30pm - 6:30pm: Tree Pendant Painting Station
5:30pm: Dance workshop by Jamel Gaines Creative Outlet
6:30pm: Performance by students from PS70 in the Bronx
7pm: Performance by Jamel Gaines Creative Outlet
Picnicking permitted all evening on the Great Lawn. Bring your own or purchase specialty menu items from the Café, including kids meal options.
