Family Art Making: Imagined Vessels at MoMA
Sat Jan 18, 2025
1:00pm to 4:00pm ET
Age: 7+
Price: FREE
What does it mean to hold and be held? In this drop-in art-making session with artist Zainab Aliyu, families engage in a creative exploration of “holding” as a form of memory, care, and imagination.
Inspired by Norman Teague’s Jam Sessions exhibition at MoMA and Zainab Aliyu’s artwork, From Red Dust to Black Clay, participants imagine and design symbolic vessels. Drop in to reflect on personal and collective stories with guided prompts, explore the role of AI in artistic processes by prompting an AI engine, and record your ideas by assembling a zine.
Advance registration is required.
