Participants use everyday materials to model eclipses and design viewing devices that can be used to safely observe the April 2024 solar eclipse. Participants can also investigate parts of the sun and solar events, like solar flares, and explore why eclipses don’t occur more often in any one place.
2:10pm: Eclipse Begins
3:25pm: Maximum Partial Solar Eclipse
4:36pm: Eclipse Ends
