Earth Day on Governors Island
Back for its fourth year, this free, day-long celebration of all things ecological features environmental education activities for all ages, including ecological stewardship, walking tours, an Island-wide scavenger hunt, seedball workshops, a tree stamping art activity, climate tech demos, DJ sets, community science exhibits, and more.

10am-3pm: EXPLORE pop-up nature exhibit with Street Lab
10am-12:30pm: Leading Climate Action by Residents for Residents with The New York Climate Exchange and Public Housing Community Fund (Building 309)
11am: Climate tech demonstrations, tree sample printmaking with Governors Island Nature, volunteer projects with Earth Matter and Billion Oyster Project
12pm: Guided tree tour with Governors Island Nature
12 – 4pm: Open [Block] House with the Institute for Public Architecture (Nolan Park Building 9)
12:30pm: Seed sowing volunteer stewardship with Governors Island Nature
1:45pm: Guided bird and tree tour with Governors Island Nature and NYC Bird Alliance
