Car-Free Earth Day
Open Streets: Car-Free Earth Day is an annual car-free event hosted by NYC DOT. Programming is presented at signature locations citywide to promote activism and education surrounding climate change, sustainability, and other relevant topics.

- East 188 Street between East Fordham Road and Valentine Avenue
- Creston Avenue between East 188 Street to East Fordham Road

Brooklyn
- Fifth Avenue between 40 Street to 50 Street
Manhattan
- Broadway between 17 Street and 46 Street
30 blocks of Broadway will be closed to vehicles, from Times Square to Union Square, including Flatiron and NoMad. The blocks will be open for walking, biking, and car-free strolling. From 10am to 4pm, guests can visit the Flatiron South Plaza for family-friendly interactive programming, including a small box art activation led by a local artist and architect, ping pong tables from SPIN, corn hole, and Connect Four. - St. Nicholas Avenue between 181 Street and 190 Street
