After School Art Explorers: Drop-In Programs at the Jewish Museum

Preschoolers and elementary school-aged children are invited to explore and create during these drop-in Tuesday afternoon sessions at the Jewish Museum. This program is led by a museum educator and assisted by teen interns.

Tuesday, April 8
In celebration of the upcoming holiday of Passover, families are invited to collage found images, patterned paper, and other materials to design a unique matzah plate.
Tuesday, April 22
Use quick-drying clay, pipe cleaners, buttons, and other found materials to sculpt an animal, a tree, or something else from the natural world.
Tuesday, May 13
Piece together a portrait using fabric, textured paper, cardboard, and more after viewing pictures of people in the exhibition The Book of Esther in the Age of Rembrandt.
Tuesday, May 27
Paint a cityscape, inspired by colorful painted scenes in the exhibition Ben Shahn: On Conformity.
