Roxey Ballet's Carmen & Frida Kahlo

This electrifying one-act ballet is choreographed by company founder Mark Roxey. A contemporary ballet, stylized in abstract decor, Carmen is a vivid and passionate story of lust and treachery based on the fabled temptress of Seville.
The story follows the downward spiral of Carmen, based Prosper Merimee’s novel. The ballet has captured the attention of audiences throughout the world since French Dance Master Roland Petit first presented sizzling tale of seduction and betrayal at Prince’s Theatre in London in 1949.
The evening also includes a special performance of Frida Kahlo by guest choreographer Giovanni Ravelo and a flamenco performance by The Mill Ballet School's trainees.
With the purchase of tickets for children ages 6-12 and parents introducing them to the story of Carmen and Frida. Saturday 2/8 at 3pm and Sunday 2/9 at noon.
