New Inflatable Water Park Opening at NJ Lake This Summer
Looking for a new way to cool off this summer? How about slipping down a blow-up water slide and splashing into a beautiful NJ lake?
That's exactly what Lacey Township had in mind—so it's installing a huge new inflatable water park in Lake Barnegat (2nd Lake) in Forked River, which is slated to open in late June. Intended for swimmers ages 8 and older, the "hydro-playground" will combine slippery waters slides, bouncy inflatable climbers, floating balance beams, monkey bars, and more.
Not heading down the shore this summer? Residents of northern NJ can check out the water park at Lewis Morris County Park's Sunrise Lake Beach Club.

The Lake Barnegat inflatable water park will be open seven days a week from noon–4pm to residents with a beach badge for $10/hour and non-residents for $15/hour. The equipment can also be rented out for birthday parties and other private events.
For safety, the inflatables will have three life guards stationed on the equipment and another monitoring the perimeter.
This $160,000 lake attraction is part of a larger investment project in the township's parks and lakes. Renovations to Gille Park playground are scheduled for this fall and include installing a rubberized floor to replace the existing mulch as well as adding ADA-compliant playground equipment. The township also plans to install a new playground on the east side of Bamber Lake.
