Each time the seasons change, the Griffith Observatory presents brief talks at local noon* (in the Gottlieb Transit Corridor) and sunset (on the West Terrace). These events marking the solstice are free and open to the public.

Local noon is approximately 12:55pm.  Sunset is 8:08pm.

 * Local noon is the time each day when the Sun is at its highest point in the sky. The exact time of local noon can be found on the Griffith Observatory homepage.
