Oshogatsu (New Year's) in Little Tokyo 2026
The annual Oshogatsu in Little Tokyo celebrates the traditions of the New Year in Japan. Highlights include Japanese taiko drumming, Japanese traditional dance, Kompo, a kimono fashion show, food booths, mochi making, arts and crafts, and more.
Activities center around two locations in Little Tokyo:
Little Tokyo Weller Court (10:50am - 3:40pm)
123 Astronaut E S Onizuka St.
Japanese Village Plaza (12:30pm - 4:10pm)
335 E 2nd St,
Both locations feature the same performances, with Weller Court as the main area.
A schedule of performances can be found on the site.
Update on Rain: A large portion of the center of Weller Court will be covered with a clear tent, allowing guests to enjoy the performances while maintaining visibility from the 2nd and 3rd floors
