A new park is opening in Santa Monica (in real life) and we can all get together to celebrate (virtually).

Belmar Park was home to a thriving African American community in the 1950s. The new Historic Belmar Park pays tribute to that legacy.

This virtual opening marks the expansion of Santa Monica's parks system and, through the Belmar History + Art project, provides a historical reflection on a site where African American residents lived and contributed to making Santa Monica a vibrant and unique place.
