Olvera Street Merchants have been celebrating Candlemas, or Fiesta de la Candelaria, on Feb. 2 for nearly 2 decades.

La Candelaria is the Christian festival commemorating the Purification of the Blessed Virgin and the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple. It features a traditional blessing of elaborately dressed dolls depicting the presentation of the infant Jesus in the Temple.   The event includes music and prizes.
