Earth Day Los Angeles 2019
LA Sanitation holds its fourth annual citywide Earth Day LA event. This year, the event is held at at Woodley Park.
Kids can enjoy City vehicles to explore, games to play, prizes to win, seeds to plant, 50+ exhibitors to visit, LA Sanitation’s mascots, and fun for all ages. Free beverages and snacks are available while supplies last. All of the exhibits are related to City services and sustainability, for educational fun in a festival setting.
LA Sanitation’s mascots are out in full-force. Kids can meet Mr. Recycle, Tommy TV, Octo-Clean, and their good friend, The Drop. There is an enviro-azzi area in the Kids Zone for photographs with the mascots.
The Environmental Learning Center at Hyperion hosts a Kids Zone for younger attendees. The Kids Zone offers educational, engaging game and craft stations to teach kids how to protect the environment through everyday sustainable practices.
There is no charge for admission, and all are welcome.
