- see all dates
Sierra Madre's 4th of July festivities are a 2-day affair.
Festivities start on Thursday, July 3 with a community picnic in Memorial Park from 5pm to 10:30pm. Highlights include live music by Groovy Lemon Pie, and bubble wrap fireworks, plus non-profit booths, kids activities, food trucks, and more.
The town shows up for the Independence Day Parade starting at 10am on Friday the 4th. The Parade starts on Sunnyside Avenue and moves east on Sierra Madre Blvd, ending at Rancho Road.
Participants in the parade include community members, local businesses, classic cars, a marching band, kids on their decorated bikes, and more. Police, Fire, Rescue, City Works and all agencies who came to help during the Fires are all named as Grand Marshals
Other activities on the morning of the 4th include a 5k Firecracker Run starting at 7:30am, and the Woman’s Club Pre-Parade Community Open House with continental breakfast starting at 8am, and free swim at the Sierra Madre Pool from noon to 2pm.
