About a dozen local bookstores participate in Independent Bookstore Day. Each store plans its own activities, which may include readings and author appearances, prizes, and refreshments. Check your favorite local bookstore for details.

Participating stores may offer Independent Bookstore Day merchandise and exclusives .(Selection may vary).
