Santa Barbara Zoo's evening Halloween celebration returns, scaring up beastly fun with safe trick-or-treating and “monster-ous” thrills and chills.

Highlights include mad science experiments, visits with costumed characters, live entertainment, spooky storytime, animal encounters, and a scare zone, as well as trick-or-treating.

Guests and ghouls can get active with bounce houses, a climbing wall, a hay maze to explore, and a dance party.

Tasty treats and booo-zy adult beverages are available for purchase. 

Costumes encouraged. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Adults may not wear full face masks or have full face painted. Realistic weapons are not allowed.

During the nightly event, the animals settle down for bedtime and parts of the Zoo are not accessible. To see the Zoo’s animals, guests are encouraged to visit the Santa Barbara Zoo during regular daytime hours.
