The Shinnecock Indian Powwow is one of the largest Native American gatherings on the East Coast, hosting a variety of entertainment, including competitive dancing, guest performances, prayers, ceremonial dances, and more.
Drum and dance contests and dance specials with over $50,000 in prizes.
Hours: Friday 3pm-11pm. Saturday, Sunday - 10am-11pm. Monday 10am-6pm.
Sunset fire lighting: Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Grand entry: 7pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday. 12:30pm Saturday, Sunday, Monday. NOTE: Tickets are valid for a single day only. There are no weekend passes. You can purchase tickets online in advance or at the gate. No pets are allowed except for service animals (with proper documentation.)
Getting there: Rail: The Long Island Railroad has a stop in Southampton, only 3.3 miles away from the powwow grounds. We will run a shuttle to and from the train station. Bus: Coming from NYC? Check out Hampton Jitney to the Southampton location. Cabs can bring you to the reservation.
