Join a nature educator from the South Fork Natural History Museum to explore the Promised Land Nature Walk at Napeague State Park.

The Promised Land is home to one of Long Island's most unique habitats. See sandy soil, scraggly pitch pines, and abundant cacti spread across an almost desert-like habitat.

The trail takes visitors past the ruins of a fish factory, and you learn its history. 

All walks and programs follow stringent 6-foot distancing separation protocols required by the Department of Health to protect participants and environmental educators. SOFO provides masks and gloves for all attendees.
