Winter visitors are welcome at Jones Beach. Kick off the new year with a short walk along the shoreline with great views of the seals in the bay. 

Don't forget to bundle up, and bring binoculars if you would like a closer view. The event is weather permitting, dress warm, and wear shoes that you can walk in the sand. Meet at Field 10 for a 1.5 mile hike out-and-back.

NOTE: This walk is on sand, and is unfortunately not accessible to wheelchairs or strollers. However, they will have educators stationed at the accessible docks. There are no open bathrooms at this site, but the Jones Beach Energy & Nature Center is a short drive down the road and will have open bathrooms.
