Earth Day Celebration at the Nassau County Museum of Art
Join the Nassau County Museum of Art for a ribbon cutting to celebrate NCMA’s Grassland Restoration Project. After the ceremony, the museum kicks off its Earth Day festivities with nature-inspired activities for all ages.
Take part in a guided nature walk led by experts, join the nature photography scavenger hunt, or watch artist demos along the environmental art walk. Children and adults can explore creative art stations, and everyone can help plant colorful blooms on our grounds. Don’t miss the chance to meet some animal friends from the Wildlife Center of Long Island at the Manes Center! Snacks and refreshments will also be available, making this an event you won’t want to miss. Rain date: April 27.
NOTE: View the current exhibit and visit the Millstone Reference Library in the Manes Center. Exhibition hours: 11 am-4:45 pm. Nature Trails and Sculpture Garden hours: 9 am-dusk. Millstone Reference Library in the Manes Center: Open during artmaking sessions. Children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver 18 years or older. Pre-registration is required for this event.
