Topanga Banjo Fiddle Contest and Folk Festival
King Gillette Ranch plays host to an old-time bluegrass, folk song, folk dancing, and crafts festival. Instrumental and singing contestants perform on three stages, including a a Family Stage.
Contests start at 9am, featured performances start at noon, and there is jamming all day.
The Main Stage features performances by Hogslop String Band, Two Runner, Crying Uncle, MariaChingona, and Abby Posner. The Tiny Porch Stage hosts Caltucky, The Honeybuckets, June Clivas and the Ditty Boys, and the Red Coyote Band.
The Family Stage has kid-friendly performances including a Beginning Fiddle Class & Jam with Molly & Natalie, The Old Time Family String Band, Sweet Potato Music, The Hollow Trees, Happy Campers, ABC's of Jug Band Music and Molly White.
The Dance Stage hosts competitions and workshops including Step Dance, Cumbia Dance, Square Dance and more.
Kids can get a feel for music at the Instrument Petting Zoo.
Parking is free. Guests can bring their own picnics, or buy from food trucks on site.
Tickets can be purchased in advance online.
