Houston’s Newest Pop-Up: The Balloon Museum Floats into EaDo
Houston families, get ready to bounce into something spectacular — the brand-new Balloon Museum has officially opened in EaDo, and it’s already one of our favorite new spots for immersive family fun. We visited, and trust us: this one is pure joy from start to finish.
OUR LATEST VIDEOS
The Houston installation, Pop Air, showcases global artists who use air as their medium to create larger-than-life, inflatable art. Everything is interactive, playful, and wonderfully whimsical. You’ll find glowing swings, color-filled rooms, and our family’s absolute favorite: an oversized floating ball that you can push and watch magically hover in the air. Kids will also gravitate straight to the gigantic ball pit, which might just be the most photogenic spot in the whole exhibit.
Our kids rated Pop Air a 10/10, and you can see why in our video from the visit here.
The museum is now open through April 19, and the full experience takes about 1.5 hours to enjoy. Don’t miss the VR finale (recommended for ages 9+) for an extra wow moment.
