Christmas in Chicago Film Screening & Talkback
Visit Cinemark Seven Bridges for a special screening of Christmas in Chicago! Celebrate the season with a festive night at Cinemark Seven Bridges on Wednesday, 12/10 at 7:00 PM. Enjoy the film on the big screen and stay afterward for an exclusive talkback offering a behind-the-scenes look at the filmmaking process.
In a feel-good, rom-com style, “Christmas in Chicago” turns the city vs. small town trope on its head. Set in the fictional Chicago neighborhood of Garrett Park (Lincoln Square) and filmed solely in Chicago, featuring several Chicago actors, businesses and notable landmarks, the film follows Felicity Jones, a marketing professional living downtown, who has a brilliant idea for an ornament scavenger hunt to save her family’s toy store, Timeless Toys. First, she needs the heartbroken city alderman, Austin Ward, to approve her plan. Then, she must help him heal before he shuts down the whole campaign.
Viewers may recognize several Chicago-based actors in supporting roles, including Julian Griffith (Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., Chicago Med) as Tommy, Tracey Greenwood as Maggie, and The Second City Casting Director Claudia Michelle Wallace as Mama K.
Businesses involved in the movie include Timeless Toys, Gene’s Sausage Shop, Book Cellar, Pulling Down the Moon, Genevieve, Mira Couture, Lou Malnati’s, Vaca’s Creamery, KickHouse, Garcia’s, Himmel’s, Stanley Brown Jewelist, Midwest Nice, A Pretty Flower and Yum Dum Food Truck, with the support of the Lincoln Square Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce.
