Gather to welcome 2020 in the Japanese Oshogatsu style by dancing with Taiko drumming beats, pounding Mochi sticky rice, parading with Shishi the lion, and relaxing with a Chado tea ceremony.

Try hands-on activities such as Koma spinning tops, Fuku-warai lucky laugh game, Origami (giant & wearable origami), Omikuji fortune telling, and more.

Boston Children’s Museum is home to the Japanese House (Kyo-no-Machiya), an authentic silk merchant’s house from Kyoto, Japan. The house will be decorated in New Year’s fashion for the event with many symbols of good luck.
