Bring the whole family for a fun-filled free day of kite flying, music, games, crafts, and outdoor fun on Spectacle Island.

Make and learn how to fly a kite at one of the best kite flying locations in Boston and enjoy the bright colors of the large kites from local professional kite-flyers as they show off their tricks. Pack your own picnic, dance, and sing with local favorite Karen K and Jitterbugs. Let creativity soar with arts and crafts, play on giant-sized toys by Knucklebones, get your face painted and more. 

Don't forget to leave time to explore the beautiful and historic Spectacle Island, featuring miles of trails and sandy beaches.

On-island programming takes place between 1:00 - 5:00 pm. Boats leaves Boston promptly at 12:30 and 2:30 pm from the Boston Harbor Cruises Ferry Center at Long Wharf North. Ferry arrives back in Boston at 3:30 or 5:30 pm.

RSVP does not include a ferry ticket. It is highly recommended that you purchase tickets for this ferry ahead of time, as they do sell out.
