GAME DESIGN STUDIO with MODA: Sidekick Lab
Join MODA for a virtual studio in which students will create a sidekick character for a short game scene using Scratch.
In this virtual studio, young designers will learn how to create interactive games using Scratch. They will design a sidekick with one useful ability, such as lighting dark areas, opening blocked paths, healing the player, or revealing hidden items. Students will build a simple scene, add their sidekick as a sprite, and use block-based coding to make the ability work inside the game. At the end of the studio, students can share their work and receive feedback in a supportive environment.
