Scratch Junior Coding Camp for 4 to 7 Years
- see all dates
Scratch Junior is a visual, block coding language that is perfect for pre-readers. All of the blocks use images for the labels. Each session is only 30 minutes long, so that young students can stay engaged and focused the whole time.
In each class, the students will learn new skills and add to their coding project. They will learn how to add characters, create backgrounds, make their characters move, animate a scene, and more.
Students do not need to have any coding experience but should know how to work their device or have someone to help them. Having a computer for the Zoom conference and a tablet for their project is not necessary but makes it easier for young coders to follow along and show their work to the group.
4-day camp meets online for 30 minutes daily from Monday through Thursday at 10:15am EST (7:15am PST) or 12:15pm (9L15am PST). To book, choose the Monday of your selected week of camp and your prefered session time. The Zoom invitation will be emailed by the provider before the first session.
