When the Russian economy crashes, Father, Mother, Darya and Vasily are forced to move from their prosperous home to a dank and faraway cabin in the middle of a swamp, but at least they have their family monster, The Domovoi, to keep them safe.

But when their monster is not as they remembered, Darya, Vasily and Mother must journey into the swamp to save their family.
